Harm sat down next to Noah, who was taking a breather. "I don't know
about you, but I'm beat!" Harm said.

Noah laughed. "I can see how all those women wear you out. Every one
of them wanted you to dance with them."

"Yeah, and good thing they were only my daughters, or my wife would
have killed me."

"I can just see how much you love one another," Noah stated, turning to
face Harm. "You respect her as an individual and I think that's
important in a relationship."

Harm nodded. "Since the day we met in the Rose Garden, I did. She was
beautiful, smart, and knew how to get her way. Now moreso."

Noah watched as Evelyn laughed at something Nicholas said. "I know
what you mean. Evie has so much of Sarah in her." He sighed. "And
she knows how to get her way."

"Well, my friend," Harm laughed, clapping him on the back, "get used to
it!"

***************

Nicholas took Evelyn's hand in his. "Wanna dance with me?"

"I would be honored!" Evelyn replied with a smile. "You do know you're
the most handsome man in this room, right?"

"More handsome than Noah?" Nicholas asked in astonishment.

Evelyn winked. "But don't tell him I said that."

"I won't! Besides, I wouldn't want to lie to him." He could feel
Evelyn shaking. "Are you okay?"

She nodded. "Sorry, Ni, I'm just laughing." And soon he joined her.

"No fair! I wanna dance with Evie!"

Mac knelt in front of her youngest daughter. "Wait your turn, honey.
Why don't you see if Daddy wants to dance with you?"

"No, he's too sad to dance with me tonight," Maddie answered.

"Why do you say that?"

Maddie looked around her, then whispered to her mother, "He's too upset
to dance with me cause I'm getting married next. Member, I caught the
flowers."

Mac smiled, kissing her adorable daughter on the cheek. "You're too
little to get married. Besides, Daddy danced with Evie and she's was
just married."

Maddie beamed. "You're so smart, Mommy!"

**************

"So was your honeymoon everything you dreamed it would be?" Evelyn
asked Harriet.

Haley covered her ears. "Please, I really don't want to hear this!"

"She didn't mean it like that, silly!" Harriet replied with a laugh.
"It was everything and more. We went to one of those Bed and Breakfast
Inns."

Evelyn looked over at her mother. "Was it anything like my parent's
experience?" she asked with a glint in her eyes.

"I thought I told you never to mention that again!" Mac whined.

Harriet shook her head. "Thank God! If it were, Bud would have been
so excited, he wouldn't have needed me."

"EW, Mom! Gross!!!" Haley exclaimed. "I thought you weren't going to
talk about that kind of thing!"

Evelyn leaned in and whispered to Haley. "They had to do The Deed to
have you."

"I know that, but I don't want to think about it!"

"I'm sorry, honey, I just couldn't resist. I love your reaction
whenever I talk about it."

Haley ignored her and looked over at Mac. "Tell us about your
honeymoon, Sarah."

"That wasn't a very romantic event," Evelyn said, giggling. Mac glared
at her and she shut up.

"Well, I was four months pregnant with Evelyn and I was complaining
about everything! How much my back hurt, how hot it was in the room,
that I looked like a beached whale in my bathing suit. You name it, I
complained about it."

She smiled, thinking back on the third day of Hawaiian bliss.....

"Haaaarm! It's too hot in here, turn up the air conditioner!"

Harm rushed in wearing a warm coat. Where he got it from, Mac never
asked. "It's as cold as it's going to get in here," he told her,
handing over a glass of orange juice.

"I'm hot!!" she exclaimed.

"Hey, it's not my fault you wanted to go to Hawaii."

Mac took a good look at her husband. He looked absolutely miserable.
"Harm, come sit down."

"Are you sure? Last night you said we could sleep in the same bed, but
you pushed me onto the floor because you got hot."

"I did?" she asked. "I'm sorry, honey."

Harm smiled and leaned down to kiss her. "It's all right. I love
doing things for you."

"Harm!"

"What?" Harm cried out, jumping from the bed.

"Why didn't you tell me you had a fever?"

Harm laughed and sat down again. "Oh that, it's no big deal. I'm all
right."

Mac shook her head. "No, lay down on this bed and pull the covers up
around you. I'll turn the air down."

"You'll get hot again."

She smiled and put a hand on his forehead. "Rest! I'll be fine.
Besides, you had to suffer enough with this cold air and now you're
sick. I can suffer the rest of trip at room temperature."

"I am a little tired."

**END FLASHBACK**

"So he spent the rest of the trip sick in bed?" Haley asked.

"No," Mac replied. He slept that night and for most of the
morning, but was better by late afternoon. That's the day we finally
got to enjoy the Hawaiian weather. Harm fed me pineapples on the
beach
and took me to some of the most gorgeous restaurants I have ever
seen."

Harriet sighed. "Bud did that too. It's a shame that after two
years of being married, the magic disappears and you end up sitting at
home watching him watching sports."

"Or in your case, Mom, watching X-Files repeats."

The DJ interrupted their discussion. "Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the bride and groom's last dance of the evening. Evie, Noah, if you would."

Noah went over to Evelyn and took her hand. "Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?"

"Only about a thousand times," Evelyn giggled. "But don't stop, I love hearing you say that."

He smiled as he led her to the dance floor. "I love you."

"I love you too."

I never had no one
I could count on
I've been let down so many times
I was tired of hurtin'
So tired of searchin'
'Til you walked into my life
It was a feelin'
I'd never known
And for the first time
I didn't feel alone

You're more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Everytime I look at you
I don't know where I'd be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
You're my best friend
You're my best friend, oh yeah

You stand by me
And you believe in me
Like nobody ever has
When my world goes crazy
You're right there to save me
You make me see how much I have
And I still tremble
When we touch
And oh the look in your eyes
When we make love

You're more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Everytime I look at you
And I don't know where I'd be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
You're my best friend
You're my best friend

You're more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Everytime I look at you
And I don't know where I'd be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
You're my best friend
You're my best friend (my best friend)
You're my best friend (my best friend)

Harm sighed as he watched them dance. He felt Mac wipe a few tears from his face and looked down at her. "I didn't even realize..."

"I know," she whispered. "We've raised her well..."

He nodded. "Everything will be all right."
