Evelyn stared up at her bedroom ceiling.  It was the last night this
room, this house.  It was kind of sad.  A chapter in her life was over
and a new one was beginning.

She thought back to her life, shoving away the bad memories to focus on
the good.  She remembered the day her Dad taught her how to ride a bike
and her first make up kit from her Mom.

Laughing to herself, she remembered the day when Nicholas set fire to
the garage.  She had never seen her Dad so angry at him.  Of course, Mom was there to calm him down.

Her parents were amazing people, she concluded.  No matter what life
threw at them, they stay focused and worked on keeping their family
together.  She hoped that one day she could be like them.

A soft knock on the door, broke her from her thoughts.  "Come in," she
said.  It was Nicholas and Maddie.  "Hey guys, what's on your mind?"

"Can we sit with you for a while?"

Evelyn patted the bed.  "Reminds of  'The Sound of Music'."

"What's that?" Maddie asked.

Nicholas sighed.  "A stupid movie where people sing and fall in love."

"Hey, it's not stupid!" Evelyn protested.  "It's a great movie.  It's
based on a true story.   And besides, I always think of Dad when I watch
it.  When he was in high school, they did that show.  He played Captain
Von Trapp."

Maddie's eyes widened.  "Really?"

Evelyn nodded.  "But that's not what you two came in here to talk
about, is it?"

"Not really," Nicholas replied.  "We just wanted to see you, that's
all."

"Yeah," Maddie added.  "We're going to miss you when you're gone.  We
love you!"

Evelyn hugged them, trying to hold in her tears.  "I love you guys too.
You're always welcome to visit us.  Besides, we won't be that far
away."

"Will you have a phone?"

"Of course I will, silly," Evelyn said to Maddie with a laugh.  "Now,
why don't you to get back to bed.  We have a busy day tomorrow."

"Okay," Nicholas said. "G'night, Evie."

"Night, Ni."

Maddie planted a kiss on her cheek.  "G'night!"

"Night."  She was still smiling when they left.

Wiping away the tears, Evelyn laid back down her bed.  She was about to
close her eyes, when there was another knock at the door.  This time, it
was Serena and the twins.

"What's up?" she asked.

"We didn't want to wake you, but we couldn't sleep and wanted to tell
you something," Serena explained.

Evelyn nodded.  "We love you!" Christiana and Trisha exclaimed, rushing
to give Evelyn a hug.

"That goes for me too," Serena said.

"I love you all too.  However, I'm really tired, so..."

Serena smiled.  "You're right.  Lets leave the blushing bride to her
dreams."

Dreams, Evelyn thought.  "My dreams are coming true."

Harm and Mac stared at one another across the table while they waited
for Evelyn to join them for breakfast.  Harm had gone all out with the
meal.  Sausage, bacon, eggs.  He didn't care for them, but he knew what
Evelyn liked.

Maddie was about to get her, when Evelyn walked through the door.
"Morning family!" she said with a big grin.  If she was nervous, she
wasn't showing it.

Evelyn went around giving them all kisses.  "It's a beautiful morning,
isn't it?  Not too cold, not too hot."

Harm stared at her in disbelief.  "All right, who are you and what have
you done with my daughter?  The one who was always grumpy at 0700."

"Stop that, Harm," Mac said, smacking him playfully.  "If you're ready,
Evie, breakfast is."

Evelyn smiled.  "I'm ready for anything!"

***********

Harm knocked on Evelyn's door. "Ladies, the photographer is meeting us in about an hour." He heard giggling on the other side of the door. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. You can come in now, Harm."

Evelyn turned around as soon he came in. She saw his eyes were shining with tears, but he was smiling. "Well, Daddy?"

"You look absolutely gorgeous! Just like your Mother on our wedding day," Harm replied, stepping up to Evelyn to give her a pick on the cheek.

"Thank you."

Mac wiped a few tears away. "Well, if the kids are dressed and ready to go, we should head out."

Evelyn nodded and walked out her door. Harm took Mac's hand in his. "You look quite gorgeous yourself, Marine."

"Why thank you, Sailor," Mac replied. "This dress is definitely less confining than a Marine dress uniform. However, you look sexy in your dress whites."

Harm grinned. "You keep doing that with your hand and we're going to be late."
