"Aunt Harriet," Serena called.

"What is it, Rena?" It had taken Harriet and Bud about two hours to get all four girls asleep. "Did you have a bad dream?"

"No," she sniffled. "I want Mommy!"

Harriet took Serena into her arms. "Oh, sweetheart, Mommy will be home soon."

"Daddy too?"

"Yes, Daddy too."

Serena nodded, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Who's Mic?"

"Mic? Where did you hear that name?" she asked.

"When I was talking to Mommy on the phone she told someone named Mic to hold on."

Harriet sighed. She didn't know how to approach the subject. She couldn't tell her what he did to Harm and Mac in the past, what he was doing to them now... "Rena, Mic is just someone your Mommy and Daddy know."

"Is he... is he a bad man?" Rena asked, eyes wide.

"Tell us the truth, Aunt Harriet," Evelyn said, walking over to them. "I know Daddy wouldn't have rushed to Australia to see Mommy unless something was wrong. Daddy always says Mommy can take care of herself."

Harriet nodded. "You're right, Evie. I'm sorry. Yes, Mic is a very bad man."

"I thought the bad man was gone!" Serena cried. "How did he come back?"

Harriet looked at Bud, who had just came into the room after checking on Christiana and Trisha. "Unfortunately, Rena," he said, "there are bad men everywhere."

Harm entered the building with caution. Who knew what Brumby had up his sleeve... Nothing yet apparently. "Harm."

"Brumby," Harm sneered. "Where's Mac?"

"Follow me."

"You're full of conversation," Harm said. "Why don't you tell me what the hell this is all for? I mean, you can't possibly love her!"

Brumby turned and glared at him. "I have always loved Sarah! Don't tell me otherwise!" He stopped outside the only room with a door. "She's right through this door. You'd better not try anything stupid, mate."

"You mean like this?" Harm grabbed Brumby's arm and swung him over his shoulder. As he reached for the door knob, Brumby kicked his knee. Harm went down with a thud.

Brumby got up and kicked Harm again, this time in the chest. Harm gasped out and realized he was lying on a crowbar. While Brumby went into the room, brandishing a knife, Harm picked it up and went after him.

"Well, Sarah, it looks like this is the end for you. Your husband didn't heed my warning."

Mac's eyes widened because she saw Harm behind Brumby. He thought she was just reacting to him. "Where is he?"

"He's busy at the moment. I'm almost sorry he's not going to be able to witness this." Brumby groaned as the crowbar met the base of his neck and he crumpled to the floor.

"I'm not sorry I witnessed that!" Harm said. He limped over to Mac. "Are you all right?"

"I've been better," she replied, with a weak smile. "Want to give me a hand, Sailor?"

"I'd be glad to, Marine."
