Title:To Catch a Turkey
Rating: PG
Spoilers: None
Summary: Tiner invites the JAG staff to his parent's farm for an 'authentic' Thanksgiving. Response to a challenge on the H/M Shipper ML.

"Who's great idea was this?" Harm growled as he leaped for the turkey, just missing it.

Mac laughed as he landed in horse manure.  "Don't look at me, it was Tiner's idea.  He wanted us to get the feel of a real Thanksgiving."

"Tiner is going to be court martialed for this," Admiral Chegwidden said,
coming up behind her.  "This has got to be, without a doubt, the worst Thanksgiving I've ever had.  Up at 5 am just to chase turkeys like the pilgrims."

Hearing a loud cluck and several choice curse words, the three turned around to see Tiner being pecked by a bunch of turkeys.  "Commander!  Colonel! HELP!"

"What do you think?" Harm asked, walking over to Mac.  "Should we help him?"

Mac shoved Harm away.  "You stink, Flyboy, stay away."

"Colonel, why don't you grab a first aid kit," the Admiral said.  "I think
we're going to need it."  Mac nodded.

"AHHH!"

Harm's eyes widened.  "Mac, get a fire extinguisher too.  I have no idea what happened, but Tiner just set the turkeys on fire." Harm rushed to the fallen petty officer's side.  "Are you okay?"

"Commander, I'm in pain and you smell terrible, please leave me alone."

***********

An hour later, after Tiner was all patched up, they joined the others in the
house.  Tiner's parents were out of town visiting relatives so he invited the
JAG staff over for (and I quote) "an authentic Thanksgiving celebration".

"Tiner, grab the chips and dip, the football game is about to start."

"Oh no, first of all, the man is pain.  If you want food, you get up off your
ass and get it yourself, and secondly," Mac said, grabbing the remote control from Harm.  "We are not watching any football games."

Harriet nodded, handing "the boys" bottles of beer.  "You can either go
outside and toss one or you can watch 'White Christmas' with us."

Little AJ ran into the living room where everyone was seated around the
television.  "Football!" he exclaimed.

"Come here, AJ," Bud said.  The little boy toddled to his father.

"I wanna watch football!" he pouted, crossing his arms.

Mac suddenly had an idea and ran into the kitchen.  She emerged a few minutes later with a piece of pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream.  "Whoever sits and watches 'White Christmas' with us, gets a piece of this."

"Mac, please, there's a child present," Harm said.

Instead of replying, Mac walked over to Harm and shoved the pie into his
face.  "Happy Thanksgiving."
