A very pregnant Mac (about 8 1/2 months to be exact), sat on the living room couch deciding if she should get up to go to the restroom or just sit there. Luckily, her husband came through the front door. "Harm!" she called.

"Yeah, Mac?" He cried, rushing into the room. "Are you all right? Is it time?"

Mac laughed. "No, I need to use the restroom. I'm sorry, I really had to sit, but then I realized I couldn't get up."

"After all that training, Marine," Harm replied.

"Hey, you try moving with 2 children inside you."

Harm helped her up. "No, thanks, I'll pass!"

While Mac was indisposed, Harm set about making dinner. He was getting a pot out to boil water for the spaghetti when the phone rang. "Hello?"

"Harm, it's Jack."

Jack Wilson was their neighbor. "How's it going?"

"Harm, I think you need to come over here now."

"Why, Jack?" Suddenly, it clicked. Serena and Evelyn were over there playing with Jack's kids. "What happened?"

"I'm not exactly certain. The girls were in the back on the swings when I heard them screaming. I was watching them from the kitchen and must have looked down for a second." Jack paused. "Harm, I had to call an ambulance for Evie."

"I'll be right over!"

Mac came into the kitchen and watched as her husband worriedly rushed out the back door. "Harm?" She followed him to the Wilson's yard.

She saw him kneel next to someone. He couldn't tell since there were little girls all around. Serena ran to her. "Mommy!"

"Rena?" Her little girl was in tears and there was a small bruise forming on her cheek. "What happened?"

"A bad man! He made Evie fall out of the tree house!"

"What?" Mac cried. "Harm?"

Harm looked up at his wife. She was about to be sick. "Mary!" he exclaimed, calling for Jack's wife. She nodded and ran over to Mac. "Serena, come with us, honey." Serena went with them reluctantly.

"Harm, the ambulance is here," Jack told him.

Harm moved away so the paramedics could do their job. He watched in shock as they carefully moved her onto the stretcher. "Sir, are you coming with us?"

He looked at Jack. He didn't want to leave Evelyn alone in case she came to. "Go ahead, Harm. We'll bring Sarah and Rena to the hospital."

"Thanks, Jack," Harm replied, running after the paramedics.

**************

Harm waited as patiently as he possibly could for word on Evelyn's condition. He wanted hurt the person who did this to her, and he had a good idea who that person was.

"Harm!" He was broken out of his reverie by Mac's voice. She wrapped her arms around him. "Is she okay?"

"I haven't heard anything yet," he told her. Jack came up to them, holding Serena. He noticed the bruise on her cheek. "What happened, Rena?" he asked, taking her into his arms.

Mac nodded a thank you to Jack as Serena began to explain what happened. They were playing a game in Angie's treehouse when someone climbed up the ladder. They were so into it that they didn't see him until he had grabbed Evelyn by her shirt and pulled her out of the treehouse.

"I went over to him and tried to kick his face, but he hit me instead," Serena said. "I'm sorry, Daddy, I tried!"

"It's okay, Rena. I know you did." He looked over at Mac, who was starring at Serena, her face as white as a sheet. "Mac? Sarah!"

"What? Oh... God! It was Palmer, I know it was!"

"Daddy!" Serena cried.

Harm put Serena down and grabbed Mac before she fell to the floor. A nurse rushed over to them, calling for a gurney. Harm and an orderly laid her on it. "How far along is she, Sir?"

"8 1/2 months... Is she going to be all right? Our daughter was just brought in, and..."

"We're going to take good care of them, don't worry. What's her name?"

"Sarah."

Serena tugged on the nurse's dress. "Yes, dear?"

"That's my Mommy up there... When she wakes up, tell her I love her."

"I will..."

"Serena."

"I'll do just that, Serena."

Harm took Serena's hand so they could bring Mac to the maternity ward. He sighed. This was not what he needed right now. *She's strong, she'll be fine!*

"Harm, why don't you sit down?" Jack suggested. He leaned in. "And say something because you're scaring Rena."

Harm nodded. "Rena, everything is going to be all right, you'll see."

"You really think so?" she asked, looking up at him.

"I really do." Serena smiled, convinced.

Now, if only Harm could convince himself.
