Note: In the last part, I mentioned that the family was going to Cocoa
Beach and Disney World. I know how long it takes to get there, I've
done it before so now Harm and Mac are going to do it with their
children. Thank you, drive thru! :o)

"How is she doing, Doctor?" Harm asked.

"Much better. She's been very responsive," he replied. "I'm looking
to release her by this weekend if all goes well."

Harm nodded. "Thank you for all your help."

"That's what I'm here for, Mr. Rabb. Is there anything else you
needed?"

"Actually, yes." Harm explained to him about the trip to Florida.

The Doctor thought for a few minutes. "She should be fine, but wait
another week before you leave."

Harm thanked him again, then went to join his family. The kids were
all chatting with Serena. She seemed bright and cheerful. "What did
the doctor say?" Mac asked, breaking in from his thoughts.

"We're good to go a week after she's released. He thinks she'll be
out by this weekend."

Mac frowned. "As long as they didn't miss anything else."

"Wow, a bit pessimistic, are we?"

"Sorry," she said with a sigh. "I just don't want anyone in my family
brought to this hospital unless it's an emergency and the last
resort."

Harm wrapped his arms around her. "You and me both."

"Dad," Serena said. "Come here."

He kissed Mac on the forehead then walked through the sea of children.
"Hey, Rena."

She took his hand in hers. "Hi, Daddy. I'm sorry I scared you."

"No, it's all right. You didn't really have control over what
happened." Serena pulled him into a hug. "I love you."

"I love you too, honey."

"Too mushy," Nicholas muttered. Maddie slapped his arm. "Hey!"

Mac put a hand on each of their shoulders. "Enough you two, or you
won't be able to join us in Florida this year."

Maddie's eyes sparkled. "Florida! Really? I've never been there!
Are we going to Disney World?"

Everyone laughed at her enthusiasm. "Yeah," Harm replied. "We'll go
to Disney World, Universal Studios, Cocoa Beach. It'll be a lot of
fun."

"Um, Dad..."

"Your father already spoke with the doctor, Rena," Mac said. "We can
leave a week after you come home."

"Awesome!" The twins shouted. "Hot Florida men!"

Mac glared at them and they shut up. "You two will still be grounded
so you'll be under the supervision of myself, your father, or Evie and
Noah."

"Damn," Trisha muttered, but Christiana just nodded.

"Well, I think Rena's had enough excitement for now," Noah said. "She
looks a bit tired."

Serena nodded. "You're right, I am. Thanks for visiting, everyone."

Harm pulled the blankets up around her. "Sweet dreams, Rena."

"Good night, Dad," she replied. "Good night, Mom."

Mac kissed her cheek. "Good night, sweet heart. We'll see you
tomorrow."

That Saturday, Serena was released. She looked nervously at the car.
"Rena?" Mac asked. "Are you all right, honey?"

"I'm fine," Serena replied, climbing into the passenger seat. "Where
is everyone? I half expected them to come with you."

"Well, the twins have been doing some heavy duty cleaning and everyone else
is getting ready for your arrival. Your father is cooking up a storm.
As he puts it, "'Enough dead cow for all and some veggie burgers for
him and Evie.'"

Serena laughed. "He's gone into grill out mode, hasn't he?"

**********

"Aunt Rena!" Hannah exclaimed happily.

Noah caught her before she plowed into Serena. "Calm down, honey. Let
Aunt Rena get settled before you attack her."

"Sowwy," she muttered, looking at the floor.

Serena walked over to the pair and gave Hannah a kiss. "It's all
right. Just let me get changed and then we'll go outside and see
Grandpa."

Hannah grinned. "Okay!"

"Hey!" Maddie said, greeting her at the top of the stairs. "How are
you feeling?"

"Much better," Serena replied. She gave her younger sister a hug.

"Don't forget me!"

"Of course not, Ni!"

"We missed ya. It was really weird not having you here, Rena,"
Nicholas told her.

Serena smiled. "I love you too."

************

Serena was surprised to find so many people in her backyard. She saw
some friends from school, her parent's friends from work, and of
course, her family.

She felt arms wrapped around her. "Hey, Angel."

"Oh my God, Josh!" she exclaimed, turning to give her boyfriend a hug.
"I thought you were finishing up your finals."

He shrugged. "Apparently my teacher knows your dad and owed him a
favor. So, here I am. I have until next Friday to take my last
final."

"You're the best!" Serena exclaimed, giving him a kiss.

Harm and Mac watched the couple from a far. "I have a feeling about those two," Mac commented.

"Do you?" Harm asked, flipping burgers. "Me too."

"You approve, Sailor?"

"Definitely."

"Dad! Mom! Ni's picking on me again!" Maddie cried, running over to them.

Mac sighed and shook her head. Those two could be such a pain in the rear at times. "Please, stop it, Ni," she said, taking his hand and pulling him to her. "Things have been chaotic these last few days and we don't need to hear you two yelling at one another."

"I'm sorry, Mom," Ni replied.

She kissed his cheek. "It's all right, honey. Why don't you go see if anyone needs drinks."

Ni ran off, with Maddie close on his tails. Harm shook his head. "This has been such a great day."

Mac put her hand on Harm's shoulder. The two looked at their surroundings. Everyone was laughing and carrying on, having a good time. "Harm, we've led a good life, we have six beautiful children, a son in law, and an adorable grandchild."

"You're right, Sarah. The future doesn't matter right now. The only thing that does is what we have right now. I love you."

"I love you too. I always have, I always will."
