Notes: This is set five years later (making Evie 26, Serena  21, Chris/Trish 19, Nicholas 15, and Maddie 10).

"'The young woman quietly climbed the stairs in search of her father.
Will he be there or did Jayson lie?"' Serena looked up at her parents.
"Well? That's what I have so far, what do you think?"

Mac smiled. "It's wonderful! I can see you didn't get your writing
talents from your father."

"Hey!"

Serena laughed. She loved how playful her parents were even after
being married for so long. "This course is the most exciting of them
all. I get to make up a world of my own."

"Baka yo!"

"Moooom! Ni's doing it again!" Maddie exclaimed.

Mac crossed her arms. "Nicholas Harmon Rabb stop calling your sister
names in foreign languages."

He shrugged. "You're stupid."

"Nicholas," Harm warned.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry, Maddie."

Maddie huffed and went up to her room. "You don't need to be teasing
your sister, Nicholas," Mac said. "You're old enough to know better."

"I know, but it's fun."

Serena's eyes widened. Nicholas was really going to get it for talking
back. She decided it was time to go up to her room and continue work
on her story.

Harm stood up and glowered at Nicholas. "Follow me!"

The phone rang, causing Mac to jump. She quickly picked it up. "Rabb
residence."

"Hey, grandma!" Mac grinned from ear to ear. "It's Hannah."

"I didn't recognize your voice. You sound so grown up! How old are
you now?"

She could almost imagine the little girl holding up her pudgy little
fingers. She heard Evelyn in the background telling her. "I'n 3!"

"Wow, you're a big girl!"

"Dat's what daddy tells me," Hannah replied with a giggle.

Before Mac could reply, she heard the phone drop to the floor. "Mom?"

Mac laughed. "Yeah, I'm still here. What happened?"

"She heard Sesame Street starting," Evelyn replied. "I wanted to tell
you that I got approval for my leave. When I told Captain Davis about
our family reunion, he asked if he could come too."

"I'm not surprised. Your father pulled a rabbit out of his hat while
defending him. He was lucky enough to receive a recommendation from
Harm to become the next JAG in San Francisco."

Evelyn sighed. "We miss all of you."

"We miss the three of you as well, honey," Mac replied. "However, with
your father the JAG here..."

"I know, Mom. So how are things going on your end? Have Christiana and
Trisha chosen a college yet?"

Mac smiled. "Chris wants to go to Georgetown, but can't decide on a
major. Trish is interested in Annapolis School of Art."

"I know they'll both do well. That is, if they cut down on the
partying."

"They've been behaving lately," Mac said. "Besides, they're a lot
smarter than most of their friends."

"I agree with you there! So what have Maddie and Ni been up to?
Teasing each other, no doubt."

"Nicholas is currently being punished for that. He's not a bad kid at
all, just being a brother. He just started taking Japanese in school
and is really interested in Japanese animation. He wants to join the
exchange program."

"That's cool! It'll be a great experience for him. And Maddie? Is
she still dancing?"

"Her favorite, at the moment, is tap. I'm telling you, Evie, she's the
best in her class! I think they're debating on whether or not to move
up to the advanced level."

"Her recital's coming up, isn't it? Evelyn asked.

"Yeah, the Friday night before you head home." Mac glanced at her
watch. "Speaking of which, I have to take her to practice. I'll just
hand the phone off to Rena. She's standing her begging for the phone."

"Sounds like her. I'll see you in two days, Mom. I love you!"

"I love you too, honey," she said, then handed the phone to Serena.

Serena grinned. "Hey, Evie!"

"So are you going to read my this story you were writing, or what?"

*************

"Come on, Rena! You know it'll be fun! And besides, we need a
designated driver."

"The two of you aren't even 21 yet!" She exclaimed.

Christiana shrugged. "Please! This is the party of the century. We'll
never ask you to do this again!"

"Yeah," Trisha replied. "We'll even pay you for gas."

Serena sighed. "Do Mom and Dad know you're planning on attending the
'party of century'?"

"Yeah," Christiana said. "They just don't know how crazy it's going to
be."

"I'm gonna regret this..."
