"Rena, what are you doing?" Evelyn whispered.

Serena had her ear to their parent's bedroom door.  "They were yelling
about something, but now it's all quiet."

"Cut it out. I'm sure everything's all right," Evelyn responded.
"Nicholas wants you to kiss him good night."

She got up, dusting off her pants.  "Are you watching a movie before
you go to bed?"

"Yeah. I'm watching 'A Knight's Tale'."

"Ooh boy! Heath Ledger!" Serena exclaimed. "I'll get my pajamas on and
join you. Don't start it without me!"

Evelyn laughed. "I won't."

"Do you think we should tell the kids?" Mac asked.

Harm stood up, running a hand through his hair.  "It would probably be
best.  Maybe just Evie and Rena."

"I don't think I can do this."

"What?" Harm asked.  "Pretend we're fighting."  Mac nodded.  "I know
it's going to be hard, but if we want to flush out who's doing this..."

Mac sighed.  "I know," she replied.

***************

They found Evelyn and Serena in the living room.  "Girls, we need to
talk to you about something."

"Mom, is something wrong?" Evelyn asked.

She looked at Harm, who nodded and handed Evelyn the e-mail.  The
teenager stared it, eyes wide.  "What is it?" Serena asked.

"Daddy?"

He shook his head.  "No, Evie.  It was from an unknown sender.  Someone
wants your mom to believe that's true."

"Why would someone do that?" Serena asked.

"We don't know yet, honey," Mac replied, sitting in between her
daughters.  "We're going to find out, I promise."

"There's something we want to discuss with you," Harm said.

Evelyn and Serena looked at one another, then Harm.  "We're going to
pretend that your Mom believes this and she kicked me out of the house.
Since we don't know who this is from, you girls have pretend too."

"You mean, pretend to hate you?" Serena asked in a shaky voice.  "Are
you going to move out?"

Mac wrapped her arm around them.  "If we want to stop this person, we
have to make them think their plan is working."

"I'll do it, but I'm not going to enjoy this," Evelyn said.

"I'll do it too," Serena replied quietly.  She got up from the couch to
give her dad a hug.  "I love you, Daddy."

"I love you too, Rena."  The girl quickly ran upstairs.  Harm sighed.
"I hope this won't take too long to figure out."
