A week later, Mac was pronounced ready to leave the hospital.  She
followed Harm into the house and noted the silence.  "Where are the
kids?" she asked.

"Harriet and Bud took them to the amusement park."

"That was nice of them," Mac replied.  She saw that her husband didn't
seem to be overly excited about the prospect of being alone with her.
"Is something wrong?"

Harm nodded, trying to keep his tears in check.  How could he explain
to Mac  the feelings he had going through him at the moment?  She looked
at him  expectantly and Harm finally gave in.  "I received a call from
Webb this morning."

"Webb?"

"Yeah... he was the one who convinced Meg to come clean," Harm
explained.  Mac nodded.  She knew all about Harm's ex-partner and her
'work' with Singer.  "Singer escaped--"

Mac cut him off.  "WHAT!"

Harm, grabbed her and pulled her close.  "Everything's all right, she
can't  hurt us anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"She's dead, Mac.  She escaped and went to see Meg.  Mac, she killed
Meg and  killed herself."

Mac stared into Harm's eyes.  This was tearing him up inside, she could
tell.  He lost one of the closest friends he ever had... even if she did
try to tear their family apart.  Mac knew Meg was coerced by Singer.
"Oh God, Harm, I'm so sorry!"

"We were going to work things out and now she's... she's gone."

Mac hugged him close to her, whispering words of comfort.

"Where's Mommy?"  Nicholas shouted, running to Harm.

"She's upstairs," Harm replied, "she should be down in a minute."  He
noticed that all five of his children had huge grins on their faces.  "I
take it you all had a good time?"

Christiana nodded.  "Look what Haley won for me!"

"And me!" Trisha exclaimed, showing Harm her toy.

"That was nice of her," he replied.  He glanced over at Evelyn and
Serena.  "And you two?"

Evelyn smiled.  "We haven't had any nightmares in two days," she told
him.

"Yeah," Serena said.  "I'm really happy about that!"

"Don't children ever say hello to their mother any more?" Mac asked,
crossing her arms.

"Mommy!" Nicholas ran over to her.  "I missed you!"

"I missed you too, baby."  Each of the girls took turns hugging Mac.

"Is the baby all right?" Serena asked.

Mac nodded.  "She's going to be just fine," she replied with a smile.
"Your dad and I picked a name for her."

"Really?" Evelyn said.  "What did you pick?"

"Madison."

"That's cute!" Christiana exclaimed.  "We can call her Maddie!"

Harm walked over to his family.  "Don't we need to be buying new
outfits for these little ones?  We have a big celebration happening in a
week and a half."

"Oh my God, the Admirals retirement party!" Mac said.  "I completely
forgot about it!"

Evelyn shook her head. "You don't have to worry too much about it.
Aunt Harriet and I worked out most of the details.  She wanted your help
on choosing the cake and then she mentioned something about dad's
speech."  She looked up at Harm.  "You do have something ready, don't
you?"

Harm paled.  "A speech?  Was I suppose to give a speech?"

"Mister-I-can-speak-in-a-courtroom-full-of-unknown-people-but-not-in-front-of-people-I-know."

"Shut up, Mac."
