Harm peered out of the window, watching the cars drive by. He wanted to meet this boy's parents as well. He saw a car pull up. Imagine his surprise when a teenage boy got out of the driver's seat.

"Harm!"

"Damn it, Mac!" Harm exclaimed.

"Damn it!" Nicholas repeated with a grin.

Mac smacked his arm. "That's for teaching Nicholas to cuss," she said, then smacked him again.

"What's that for?"

"Spying on our daughter's date."

Harm shook his head. "No way are we letting her go out with that boy. He drives and I don't like the way he looks."

"Think of Evie. She's liked this guy since the day she saw him. Give him a chance." He sighed and gave in. "That's my Sailor."

Evelyn came bouncing down the stairs just as Tony rang the doorbell. "How do I look, mom?"

"Lovely," she replied. "Don't you think so, Harm?"

"She always looks lovely," Harm said with a smile. He went over to answer the door.

Tony eyed the man in front of him warily. "Hello, I'm here to pick up Evelyn." He extended his hand. "I'm Tony."

Harm grasped the boy's hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, Tony."

Evelyn stepped over to the door. "Hi," she said.

"Hey," he replied. "Ready?"

"Yeah." She turned to her parents. "I'll be home around 10!"

"Bye," Mac said. "Have fun!"

The parents watched as they drove off. Mac suddenly had a bad feeling about something, but shrugged it off. She glanced up at Harm. He a look of longing on his face.

"They grow up fast, don't they?" she commented.

Evelyn glanced over at her date. "Are you sure we should be here, Tony?" she asked.

"Why not?" he said, getting out of the car. "Come on, Evie, it'll be fun."

She wasn't so certain, but she got out of the car anyway. There was a full blown out party going on. People yelling and having a great time.

Tony took her hand and led her into the house. She noticed that most of the people there were older than her and holding bottles of beer.

"Hey, Tony!" one of the guys yelled. He reeked of cigarettes and alcohol.

"Hey, Mike, how's it going?"

Mike didn't answer because he was giving Evelyn the once over and it was making her really nervous. "What do we have here?"

"This is Evie," Tony replied. "Evie, this is Mike."

"Nice to meet you," Evelyn said. He didn't have to know it was a lie.

"Pleasure's all mine," he slurred. "Tony, Davis was looking for you." He glanced at Evelyn. "I can take care of your date."

Evelyn pleaded to him with her eyes, but Tony didn't seem to notice. "Great. Be right back, Evie."

"Wait!" she called, but he was lost in the crowd already.

Mike put his arm around Evelyn's shoulder. "Lets get you a beer."

"Um, no thanks," Evelyn replied, deftly moving out of his grasp. "I'm fine."

"You need one," Mike persisted.

She shook her head. "No, really, I'm fine." Mike grabbed her arm. "Let go of me!"

"I don't think I will!"
