Evelyn looked around the emergency room. She headed over to the counter. "Excuse me, but my Mother was brought in earlier. Sarah Mackenzie-Rabb."

"She's up in the OR," the nurse said. "Take the elevators to the third floor and turn right. There's a waiting room there and you can meet up with your father and siblings."

"Thank you," Evelyn replied.

When Evelyn stepped off the elevator, Maddie rushed over to her. Evelyn gave her a hug. "Hey. Are you okay?"

Maddie nodded. "But I don't think Mommy is," she cried.

"I'm sure Mommy's fine," Evelyn told her. She glanced over at her father, who was sitting quietly in one of the chairs. His face was pale and his eyes seemed sort of glazed over. She saw the twins and Nicholas sitting across from him, their eyes filled with worry.

Harm looked up, noticing her for the first time. "I didn't see you come in," he said.

"I've been here for about five minutes, Dad," she replied, kissing him the cheek. "How are you holding up?"

"I'm getting a little edgy because the doctor won't tell us anything!" Harm exclaimed, standing.

Evelyn grabbed his arm. "Calm down! Yelling isn't going to help anyone. You're only going to upset the kids."

Harm sighed. Evelyn was right, but this was just so... frustrating. "I'm sorry, honey."

"I understand," she replied. She gave Harm a hug and went to join her siblings, leaving him to his thoughts.

Ten minutes later, a nurse walked up to him. "Mr. Rabb, you can see your wife now. She's been sedated, but the prognosis is good. The Doctor will meet you in her room."

"Thanks."

No sooner had the nurse led Harm away, than two people strolled casually up to the Rabb children. A woman sat next to Maddie while the man with her, sat across from her.

"You're Madison Rabb, aren't you?" the woman asked the little girl. Maddie nodded slowly.

Evelyn stood in front of her. "And you're that news reporter, Lana Milton. I'm going to have to ask you leave her alone."

"Oh no, I am completely within my rights, dear! That uniform isn't going to scare me."

"The uniform isn't meant to scare you, my fist is!" Evelyn exclaimed.

The man behind them began taking pictures with his camera. Christiana rushed down the hall after her father while Trisha went to find a security officer.

"All I want to have is an account of little Maddie's experience."

Tears formed in Maddie's eyes. She just wanted to forget that horrible day, but no, this woman wasn't letting her. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" she cried, stomping on the woman's foot and running off after Christiana.

Evelyn smirked and noticed the man had taken a picture of that. "I think you're finished here."

"I think we are. Come on, John," she said, limping away. "And you'd better hope that last picture you took doesn't come out!"
