Evelyn paced in front of her three little sisters. "I said stand at attention, Lieutenant!" she said to Serena.

"Yes, ma'am," Serena replied. The other were trying their best to, but
Evelyn was being easy on them since they had never played this game before.

"Remember, we have to do something really special for Mommy and Daddy's anniversary. They've done so much for us over the years. Any suggestions?"

Christiana raised her hand. "What's an annisary?"

"Anniversary, Christiana," Evelyn said with a smile. "It's a special day
for parents who have been together for a long time," she explained. "Our
parents have been together for nine years."

"That's bigger than us!" Trisha exclaimed.

"It sure is," Serena replied. "Evie, I think we should have a surprise party
at Uncle AJ's house. I don't think he would mind."

Evelyn thought for a few minutes, then nodded. "Lieutenant, you've just been promoted to Commander!"

Mac couldn't exactly hear what the girls were talking about, but she knew they were playing Navy. Last time they were Marines. She looked over at her husband, who was looking at some case files.

Scratch that, he was supposed to be, but he was asleep. "Harm." She walked over to him and breathed down his neck. Nothing. "COMMANDER!"

Harm's head dropped from his hands and onto the table. "What?" he growled.

Mac laughed. "Must be a really good case," she said.

"It's wonderful," Harm replied sarcastically as he rubbed his forehead. "Any idea why the Admiral gave it to me?"

"Sorry, can't help you there, honey." She kissed his head. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." He looked around. "Where did those four go off to?"

Mac smiled. "They're in Evie and Rena's room, playing Navy."

Harm nodded. "Come here," he said, pulling her onto his lap. "Honey, what do you say we try one more time for a boy?"

"Are you sure you want to? I'm more than willing if you do. Besides, what if we end up with another girl?"

"Then I'll love her as much as I would love my son," Harm told her.

"Mommy, is it okay if we go to Uncle AJ's Saturday afternoon?"

Mac looked up from the book she was reading. "This coming Saturday, Rena?" Serena nodded. "We'd have to call Uncle AJ first. If it's okay with him, then I don't mind."

Serena smiled and handed her the phone. "Give him a call!"

"All right, I'll call him. Now why don't you find your sisters and get ready for dinner?" She nodded and zipped upstairs.

Mac quickly called the Admiral, who was up for having them visit. She was beginning to wonder about this sudden excitement from her children and AJ Chegwidden about Saturday.

"Something's going on..."

"Mac, dinner's ready," Harm called.

Mac got up and joined him in the kitchen. "What did you make this time?"

"Some cow for you and Rena, hot dogs for Christiana and Trisha, and veggie burgers for myself and Evie."

"If you two were even remotely normal when it came to eating, we could all enjoy a good meal. Now, I have to smell it!"

Harm laughed. "The smell of a veggie burger isn't THAT bad, Mac."

"Hmm... you're right. That must be you."

Mac caught the rag that was thrown at her. "Can't blame me for stating the truth!"

***************

Saturday finally arrived and the girls were more than excited. The best thing was that their parents suspected nothing. "Mommy," Trisha said, "I want to wear my pink dress!"

"Your pink dress?" Mac asked. "Trisha, that's too fancy."

"Please, Mommy," she said, pouting. "The other girls are wearing fancy stuff. Look!"

Mac turned around to see Evelyn, Serena, and Christiana wearing fancy clothing. "Am I missing something?" she asked out loud.

"No, Mommy. We just want to be pretty for Uncle AJ," Evelyn explained.

Harm stood behind his daughters. "Who are these beautiful girls?"

"It's us, Daddy," Christiana replied, looking up at him. She squealed as he picked her up.

"Harm, don't get her dress wrinkled."

"No, Ma'am!"

Mac looked around. "So, are we ready to go?"

"Oh, wait!" Evelyn said, rushing out of the room.

"We'll be outside getting the little ones into the car, Evie," Harm said.

"Okay, I'll be right down!" came the muffled reply.

Harm shrugged at Mac and headed downstairs.

"Those girls are the smartest children I know," Chegwidden was saying to Sturgis. "I mean, I don't even think Harriet thought about a surprise anniversary party."

Sturgis nodded in agreement. "They'd have to be considering who their parents are. And they are very resilient. With all that's happened to them, it's a wonder they're not depressed or nervous."

"Especially with Brumby. I didn't think I was ever going to convince Mac and Harm he wouldn't bother them again."

"Speaking of Brumby, Harm never did tell me what happened before Evie was born," Sturgis said. "And I want to know what you did with Webb. I haven't heard from him since then."

Chegwidden explained the situation with Brumby and the drugs. After he was finished, he grinned. "As for Webb, he got another broken nose courtesy of myself. I think he's making himself scarce from now on."

"Sir, Harm and Mac are here," Harriet said.

He nodded. "Everyone keep quiet while I go invite my guests in." Opening the door, he smiled at the four girls in front of him. Harm and Mac were heading up the walkway. "How are my Sailors this afternoon?"

"Good, Sir!" Evelyn responded, as they all surrounded him to give him a hug. "Everything ready?" she whispered.

He gave her a wink then looked up to greet Harm and Mac. "Well, come on, we don't have all day."

Harm eyed Mac and the two entered the house. "SURPRISE!" everyone shouted.

"Oh my God!" Mac exclaimed.

"Happy Annisary, Mommy and Daddy!" Trisha said.

They smiled. "Who's idea was this?" Harm asked.

"Our's Daddy," Evelyn told him. "We wanted you to know how much we love you!"

"Girls, that was so sweet," Mac replied, tears forming in her eyes. "Thank you everyone."

Serena pulled on Harm's shirt. "What is it honey?"

"Give Mommy a kiss!!"

"Yeah," Sturgis said, "Give her a kiss, Harm!"

"You talked me into it," Harm replied with a laugh. He wrapped his arms around her. "I love you, Sarah."

"I love you too, Harm."

Everyone else faded into the background for a few minutes as the couple kissed.
